Our study titled “Trade Unions and Art in Turkey: Dilemmas and Possibilities”, prepared in collaboration with my esteemed professor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Makal and my dear colleague Res. Asst. Özge Kahraman Ersöz, was originally presented as an abstract at the 17th National Social Sciences Congress and subsequently published as an article in Çalışma ve Toplum Journal. This work has now taken its place as a chapter in Prof. Dr. Ahmet Makal’s new book, which compiles his writings on labour and art.
Published by İmge Kitabevi under the title The Art of Labour, The Labour of Art, this volume serves as a valuable compilation of Prof. Dr. Makal’s writings on the relationship between labour and art, penned over many years. The book meticulously brings together his intellectual output accumulated in this field, presenting it to the reader.
