PDF Tools

Merges and splits PDF files and arranges their pages. Adds text and signatures to pages, and compresses and encrypts files. Files are not uploaded anywhere, and everything happens on the device you use.

How to Use

Choose one of the four tools and upload your file. You can continue with the same file in the other tools without downloading and uploading it again. The name, number of pages and size of the open file are shown below the tools. You can undo the last step with “Undo”, and save the file to your device at any time with “Download”. It is recommended to use the tools in order. Arrange the pages first, then add text and signatures, then compress the file, and add a password last. The file is deleted when the page is closed. If you try to close or reload the page before downloading, the browser warns you.

Merge and Arrange

Choose one or more PDFs and images (JPG, PNG, WebP). HEIC photos are usually converted to JPG automatically when chosen on Apple devices. If not, save the photo as JPG and choose it again. On a computer you can also drag and drop the files. The files are listed in the order you choose and can be reordered with “Up” and “Down”. The pages are shown as thumbnails. Tap a page to select it. With the buttons below, you can move the selected pages to the start or the end, rotate them, delete them, insert a blank page or download them as images. On a computer you can also drag pages to move them. For documents scanned on one side, there are the “Rotate All” and “Reverse Order” options.

This tool does not compress anything. Images are added as they are, and only their location and device details are removed. You can choose whether an image is placed on an A4 page or the page takes the size of the image. To split the file, type page ranges (for example 1-3, 5, 8-12). Each range becomes a separate PDF. “Download Each Page Separately” makes a separate file of every page. Several files are downloaded together in one ZIP file. When you only delete, rotate or reorder pages, bookmarks, links and form fields are kept. When several files are merged, they may not be kept.

Write and Sign

Pages are opened one at a time. When you choose text, a date, a mark (✓, ✗) or a signature, the item is placed in the middle of the page. Move it where you want with your finger or the mouse, and resize it with the square at its corner. Items can be white, black, blue or red. You can draw your signature with your finger or the mouse, or upload an image of it. A light background (white paper) is removed from the image and the ink stays. The signature is remembered only while the page is open, and is not saved on your device or in your browser.

“Watermark” adds faint, slanted text such as “DRAFT” to all pages. “Page Numbers” adds numbers at the bottom of the pages. You can leave the first pages, such as a cover, unnumbered and choose the first number. If the file has fillable form fields, you can fill them in directly. Cover anything you want to hide (an ID number, an address or a signature, for example) with a box using “Black Out”. The box can be black or white. With a white box you can cover an old detail and write a new one over it. A page with such a box is turned into an image when downloaded, so the text under the box is removed from the file completely. The other text on that page can then no longer be selected or searched.

Compress

Compresses the open file. The tool compresses the images on the pages again, and the text stays as text. Choose “High quality”, “Balanced” or “Smallest” and press “Compress”. Next to each option, you can see how much smaller the file will become. After compressing, the size of the file before and after is shown side by side. Files made up only of text hardly get smaller. If the file does not get smaller, the button becomes “Compress by Turning Pages into Images”. The text can then no longer be selected or searched. If the file cannot be made any smaller, the button fades, and you can try again with a lower quality.

Encrypt and Clean

PDF files store the author’s name, the software used and dates inside them. These details are not visible when the file is opened, but they can be read in the file’s properties. The tool first shows the details stored in the file, and “Clean Details” deletes them all. “Add Password” protects the file with an opening password (AES-256). If you wish, printing, copying and changes can also be prevented with a separate permissions password, although not every PDF reader respects these restrictions. A password is the last step. Once it is added, the other tools are closed for that file. When you upload a password-protected file, the tool asks for its password and the file is opened without it. To protect it again, use “Add Password”.

Warnings

  • Signature: A signature drawn or added with the tool is an image. It is not a secure electronic signature within the meaning of Electronic Signature Law No. 5070 of Türkiye, and it does not by itself have the same legal effect as a handwritten signature. If an institution requires an electronic signature, a mobile signature or a wet signature, use that method.
  • Changes to documents: Add only your own signature. Adding someone else’s signature without their permission, or changing a document so as to deceive others and using it, may be a criminal offence (Turkish Criminal Code, Articles 204 and 207).
  • Electronically signed documents: Any change to an electronically signed document, such as one from e-Devlet, UYAP or an institution, invalidates the electronic signature, and this includes merging and splitting. The tool warns you about such files. Keep the original documents.
  • Blacking out: Blacking out cannot be undone. Open the file you download and check the blacked-out areas. The hidden information may also be in the file’s title or author details. To remove them, use “Clean Details”.
  • Password: If you forget the password, the file cannot be opened in any way, including with this tool. The tool does not open a file whose password you do not know, and does not remove printing or copying restrictions.
  • Original file: The tool does not change the file you upload, but produces a new file. Still, keep a copy of important documents.
  • Large files: Since everything happens on your device, the tool may slow down with very large files (hundreds of pages or more than a hundred megabytes), and the page may reload on a phone.
  • In-app browsers: Downloads may not work on pages opened inside apps such as WhatsApp or Instagram. Open the page in a browser such as Safari, Chrome or Firefox.
