Dr. Orhan Ürüncan Yücel serves as a research assistant in the Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Division of Labour Law and Social Security Law at Firat University. He holds a PhD from Ankara University, where he completed his dissertation in 2025 on the working conditions and organizing practices of platform-based motorcycle couriers.

Yücel’s research primarily investigates the intersection of labour law and digital transformation. His work critically analyzes the transformations in work, organizing practices, and social policy. Prior to his current role, he served as a research assistant in the Faculty of Political Sciences (Mülkiye) at Ankara University for over nine years.
